Who This Is For
Are you adventurous and have a desire to explore?
Do you love nature and the wilderness?
Are you looking forward to producing stunning landscape images and to improving your skills dramatically?
Are you looking for somebody to create an itinerary that would maximize your chances of getting the perfect shot?
Are you willing to sacrifice sleep? To relegate lunch and dinner to strange hours, all in pursuit of the moment when the light is magical?
If so, then this tour is for you.
Itinerary
We will spend a week exploring some of the most iconic spots of Western Scotland, including:

The Old Man Of Storr, Isle of Skye
Please notice that this is an incomplete list that is subject to change, depending on weather conditions. The weather in Scotland is always unpredictable, so we'll have to be flexible and ready to change our itinerary at the last minute.
You can expect our journey to start at either Edinburgh or Glasgow airport in the morning. of May 23rd. We'll make our way north from there, stopping along the road to capture some of the stunning scenery this region has to offer. After a sunset shoot in a suitable location, we'll reach a hotel in the vicinity of Loch Awe.
The next two days are dedicated to exploring the area around Loch Awe, Glen Coe and Glen Etive. On the evening of the third day, we move on to Skye. Before reaching the island, we stop at the famous Eilean Donan Castle for a blue hour shoot.
We will then spend three full days on the Isle of Skye, before making our way back to a couple other locations near Fort William and Loch Lomond, before returning to Edinburgh or Glasgow on the last day.
if you are not familiar with the landscape of the Scottish Highlands and of the Isle of Skye, I recommend that you take a look at the following articles I've published on my website, based on my previous trips there:

The Jacobite steam train, Glenfinnan Viaduct
This is an intensive workshop, during which we will stay outdoors as much as possible and exploit every possible opportunity to take advantage of the light conditions. At that time of the year, at those latitudes, sunrise will be at around 6AM and sunrise at around 9PM. If the weather permits it, we will be up well before sunrise to reach a location. If the distance allows it, we will back to our B&B for breakfast, some rest and discussion, before heading out again for the rest of the day. Most of the days, we won't be back until after sunset.
There will be some hiking to do, sometimes on sloping terrain. Make sure your fitness level is adequate for the type of activities we will be doing. If in doubt, contact me and I'll provide you with more details.

An "Experience", not a vacation. A "journey", not a tour. I've pushed film before but I've never been pushed out of my comfort zone in search of photographs that cannot be obtained otherwise. We put in 19-hour days to take full advantage of Scot sunlight in late May...and it was worth every minute.

To travel and work with Ugo is a delight. He is resourceful and knows his destination, so no matter what weather awaits you, Ugo will always suggest a way to make the most of the day. He is energetic, non-stop, productive. A travel/work experience with Ugo motivates you to become a better photographer. Must mention that he is very fun company, and loves good food!
